What is the best way to get rid of plantar warts on feet?
The simplest way is to simply give it time. Many of them eventually fade away.
I’ve heard that can take years, and I can’t wait that long.
Put salicylic acid on it.
I might as well take aspirin.
They have the same chemical compound. However, the over the counter wart removers have it
in a cream.
I’ve heard that people can file them off.
You can. That process is made easier by using wart removal creams first.
I also heard you can use duct tape as a wart remover, but that seems like a desperate “you
can use duct tape for literally everything” excuse.
If you soak the duct tape in imiquimod cream and put it over the wart, this helps kill
it. It’s called duct tape occlusion therapy.
Can you actually rip off the wart that way?
That hardly ever happens.
These things might need a blowtorch to come off.
You can use cantharidin to burn it off chemically. It hurts, but it usually works in a single
day.
I’ve seen those wart freezing treatments. I think that is done with liquid nitrogen
or some other chemical.
You could try that, or you could do it in the doctor’s office. However, cantharidin
is so potent it is hard to find outside of the doctor’s office.
We ought to break out the lasers. It seems like they can use lasers for everything from
eliminating body hair to correcting your eyes.
Doctors more often use a hot tip to burn off the warts, if that’s your desire. They can
even use that method to cut away genital warts without having to break out a scalpel.
I don’t know what I’m going to do. But as long as I don’t do what some Darwin Award
runner ups did and try to shoot it off with a rifle, I have plenty of safe options to
consider.
