My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. When tailoring your wedding dress, tailor
it to the size you are, not to the size you think you'll be. Most wedding dress fabrics
are delicate, and if it's not tailored properly, you'll see all of the stitching. Be sure your
tailor has experience with wedding dresses and that they know exactly what they're doing.
This is not a returnable item. When buying your dress, make sure it doesn't need too
much work. Of course you'll need a hem and a few things taken in, but if you're trying
to change the body shape of a wedding dress, it won't work. They're usually too structured
and you'll end up looking like a Picasso. Try to find something that fits from the beginning,
and you'll look beautiful.
