Hi! My name is Chell Garcia-Trias. And I'm a modern dance instructor in Austin, Texas.
I'm going to show you, how to do a released hangover, in modern dance. So what I'm going
to do is, I'm just going to reach up and over with my head. So that, and down with my feet.
So that, I'm going to do a little hangover. Where I'm just, with my hands towards the
ground. And with straight legs. I'm not going to bend my knees. There's, I'm going to measure
my soft little pocket of air, behind my knees. But they're not bent. They're also not locked.
I'm just gently relaxing. And I'm just going to relax here. If I want to, I can take my
elbows with my hands. And I can just lock them, in there. So that, I can relax my arms,
also. I'm going to nod my head, side to side. And make sure that my head is relaxed. So
it's really, really important, in a hangover. That I'm just relaxing here. I'm using my
legs to hold me up. I'm not using any muscles. I'm using my bones to hold me up. And I'm
not looking around with my head. Because that's going to be counter productive. I'm just relaxing
my head. So and I could hang here for five, ten minutes. If I was comfortable. Just do
what's comfortable for you. And be very careful when you stand up. That you stand up, slowly.
So that, all the blood doesn't rush up to your head. So that's a nice way to hangover,
in modern dance. And to just release the muscles in your back and in your legs.
