In medical news, American doctors pioneer non-invasive brain surgery. Surgeons at Johns
Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland have published the results of 18 operations
conducted over the past three years, which access and remove brain tumors through a small
incision above the eyelid. Dr. Kofi Boahene, (NFT:MD)one of the doctors who developed the
technique, stated, “In surgery in general, we have a goal of doing things in a simpler
way so patients recover more quickly and the cost is less.” The physicians believe a
quarter of brain tumor surgeries could be removed this way in the future, and that this
method could be used for other types of procedures. Our accolades and appreciation, Dr. Boahene
and colleagues, for your innovative medical accomplishment. May many people be greatly
helped by this very significant surgical advancement
