In all of our programs we endeavor to get active student involvement
and in this case we had two student opportunities and so we had a graduate
student at our tax program
come in and look at the financial dollar per square foot and transportation
issues related to affordability for these micro units.
Then uh... I had a great conversation with Professor Karen Clarke at NESAD about having
students in the architecture program look at how we might
create a marketing and interior look and feel
for something as small as 300 square feet.
They actually ended up calling this Viva City,
spaces for lives in motion, how can we live
better with less.
From the perspective of giving them the opportunity to design a micro unit and look at the
layout of the special organization and the different lifestyle images that they
were working on
was really um a great opportunity for them, they can envision themselves
living in these spaces, they are the ones who are going to be users of this.
