Hey everybody, Don Golden here, for Expert Village. How are you doing? I'm a do it yourselfer,
and I've been renovating homes in Los Angeles, for about fifteen years now, and I'll tell
you what, there's big jobs, and there's little jobs. I got a little job for you, that a lot
of people would just say, hey, I don't need to do this. I'm going to go buy something,
but there's a lot of things you can do around the house, that you can just fix yourself,
and not have to spend the money to replace, and I'm talking about a desk. We've got a
beautiful little desk right here, that's got a problem. It is as rickety as can be, and
I'll tell you why. We've got a leg that's no good on it. We've got to fix the leg, and
you think, how do I do that? Well, you can tighten it sometimes, if you just come down
here. You just screw it and it tightens, but you know what? That doesn't work anymore.
Why? Because it's stripped, and when it's stripped, you've got to do some more work,
but it's nothing you can't handle, trust me. In a job like this, it might take you an hour,
and might save you two or three hundred dollars, which would be the cost of replacing this
desk. You don't have to do it. I'm going to show you how. When we come back, we're going
to take the leg off. I'm going to identify the parts that are needed, and the tools that
you're going to use, and it's going to be a cinch. Stick with us.
