My name is Amitavh Bhattacherji and I am speaking oh behalf of Expert Village. I also represent
my company Abstract Frames and Supplies Private Limited, in Calcutta, India. After we have
cut the frame and glass we cut the back the same size as the glass.
The glass, the picture, and the back will all be fitted into the rebate (recess) of
the frame. The frame is broader on top and is half the size on back which allows a small
rebate to snugly fit the pieces into. After the glass, picture and back have been seated,
fasteners are inserted around the frame to further secure the items and to keep dust
out. The back seams are then taped off with a self-adhesive paper tape to further retard
dust entry. This type of tape is used instead of plastic tape because it will not stain
or otherwise damage walls. In some instances, it is recommended that small stoppers be placed
on the back of the frame so that it will touch or damage the wall. Thank you.
