We broadcasted in the second season, your song 'Taleb elm' and now you have many fans from our show
That is why we wanted to meet you in person
Indeed, honestly, I never listened to Islamic songs I used to listen to musical songs because of the rhythm in it
The first time I heard 'Taweel el-shawq' my impression of Islamic songs have changed completely
Islamic songs were traditional but you renewed it with your manner to reach people's feelings.
It's a quantum leap for this type of singing
You have a fresh and sweetened voice, sincerely I never heard a voice like yours
How did you start your career? How did you discover this hobby and type of singing?
I was singing from my childhood, and in 1989 while I was in the secondary school
I chose to participate in the Quran's reading in the morning line up
I used to sing at home by myself but I finally decided to sing to people and see the impact of my voice on them
Thanks to God, teachers and students said that I have an influential voice and they liked it
I was encouraged to compose some songs in 1993
I had no studio and no relationships with people in the field and I was just 15 years old
I composed 'Ya Man Yara', 'Ummi' in 1993, 'FalyakoulouAanHijjabi'
So, you composed most of your songs?
Yes, I bought the studio equipment and started to sing and compose alone there
I was singing and composing till my graduation
My brother Salah Bukhatir proposed to work with him on recording Islamic songs of other singers
It's true that they had great voices but I disliked their songs
Then I said if you have to find a substitute to these songs, you have to attract people till they fall in love with Islamic songs
Don't forget that nowadays, the production of musical songs is dominating.
He replied: 'if you have a song give it to me', I said: 'I'm not an Islamic singer'
Then when I got back home I said to myself: 'I'll try to compose a song'
I took Sheikh Ayn EL Karni's book, and composed a song
entitled 'KamTashtaki' from the poem of Ilya Abu Madhi 'La Tahzan'
And that was my song
When I came here to the studio to sing it, the other singers asked me work with them
Because they liked my voice and singing but I was shy and couldn't refuse
My brother joined them and asked me to participate in their album
When the album was released to the market, people were calling the production company
asking them about this unknown singer. At that time I was calling myself 'Abu Muslim'
-I wanted to hide my identity to remain anonymous.
-So, it was just a hobby for you
No, I wanted to be the servant of God and I wasn't seeking for fame
People were asking who's Abu Muslim some of them knew about my identity and some didn't
So, I could understand that people liked my type of singing and I decided to make a second album
I made an album entitled 'Al-Quds Tunadeena' where there's 'Taweel el-shawq'
This Album is my favorite because there is in it my first song 'Taweel el-shawq'
People were saying that the song has a great influence on them even before it released to the market
and they turn in tears when they listen the song, it's a poem by Sheikh El-karni
