Hello to all! Here's Daniele from www.Gay.it! Today I'll talk about the city of Vienna.
I know many of you think Vienna is a historic city, rich in culture but, perhaps, a little bit boring.
Yet Vienna is a very exciting and gay-friendly place,
full of local events and meeting places for the LGBT community.
For these reasons I "sacrificed my self" to discover the most gay friendly spot of the city.
I begin with classic tour for Imperial Vienna: the residence of the Habsburgs, the Secession,
a visit at the museum of Empress Sissi (which is maybe one of the first gay icons).
The city is easily explored on foot, anyway public transport is particularly efficient.
I beg you, watch out for the bycicles because they are very, very, more dangerous than cars:-)
After the walk I went to relax myself in one of the many gay-friendly bars in Vienna.
What you see is the Savoy cafe¨, a beautiful imperial style venue where I recommend you to try traditional Viennese coffee.
Obviously, despite the conservative atmosphere, even here do not miss the rainbow flag
(carefully placed over alcohol:P)
If you have time, I suggest you to visit the Ferris wheel, located next to the Prater,
a park full of rides and attractions to spend a fun afternoon with friends.
In the evening ... dinner at Motto which is a very nice place with a great value for money.
The food is elegant and delicious. But even the waiters are not so bad ;-)!
It's getting late and begins to be felt fatigue
"But ... We are in Vienna ... can't believe you really want to sleep!?
Come on, we do just a ride and we go back to the hotel"
Just a ride....certainly :-)!!! For sure you'll never come back to your hotel until dawn...
Vienna offers a lot of places where to go dancing:
the Heaven, the Why Not, the Pittbull for the bears ... In short, there is something for everyone.
After the crazy nights in Vienna, you can relax in one of the top class saunas
that the city offers. What you see is the Kaiserbrundl: an ancient sauna very particular
for the Arabic style that sets it apart. Of course, here you will find all the comforts
of modern saunas. After this, I suggest you make a stop at the
library gay-lesbian. Very well equipped: from the books, to the best international magazines
... but also video, DVD and lots of gadgets rainbow.
I conclude my journey with what is known in some way as the most elegant gay event in
the world: the Life Ball! The Life Ball is a charity event to fight
*** which takes place every year in Vienna. It is an evening in the name of extravagance,
of transgression, of fashion that speaks volumes about the spirit authentically gay-friendly
in Vienna and its amazing ability to combine class, glamor and practicality.
After the red carpet parade where all the stars and the stars of this world, it plays
a great show full of music and color. This year there were on stage names such as
Elton John, Bill Clinton, Adam Lambert, ... In short ... we say it is a small V.I.P. Pride:
D Now stop talking. I leave you with images...and ... the next one!
