Observe height of tunnel and distance to clear. As stated earlier many tunnels are anywhere
from 10 to 30 feet long and 2 feet wide. It is important through the practicing of this
obstacle just to have your dog comfortable with what actually has to be accomplished.
This you see is called a sturdy tunnel but there are different collapsible tunnels and
agility that are a little more challenging because the dog cannot see clearly to the
end. So you want your dog to be comfortable about what it has to accomplish just to limit
the possibility of hesitation through with the exercise. So once again sturdy tunnels
compared to a collapsible tunnel, the dog can see the end of the tunnel, therefore,
making it a little less threatening. Through practice, routine and repetition your dog
will identify the tunnel and be able to clear it better.
