JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we're going to be
learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation.
We just need to shoot a portal up in that area and we can go ahead and make one in the
ground. And now we're up above where we just were, and that's going to take us to this
long corridor. We're getting fairly close to the end of Portal now and we will see who's
behind all of this trouble. Open that door; it leads you to some more meeting area-type
rooms. Science is good, except for when it's used to kill people. Now, here we are, going
into a long corridor, into a very big room. It's kind of ominous. And as we enter, we
see a giant robotic thing, hanging from the ceiling with video screens all over the place.
And it's talking to us and it says that, you know, it's surprised that we found it, and
it's not very happy with us either. The screens are kind of going berserk and show you that
the artificial intelligence program is not functioning properly. As the AI talks to you,
a piece of its computer equipment falls off. You can go and pick that up and it tell you
not to pick it up, but of course, you don't want to listen to what it has to say. If you
take it to the back of the room, you'll find that there is an incinerator, like the one
that you put your companion cube in, and I think we've been having some regrets about
that now. Maybe we were manipulated into doing that, and that doesn't sit very well with
us. So it's only right that we return the favor and incinerate this piece of the machine.
