Hi! I am KerryAnne and I would like to show you my favourite part of the college. This
is the sewing area where all your garments come to life and you get to produce all of
your final projects. I'd like to show you a couple of the works that my students have
done for our recent competition for 'positively red'. All the students got through; there
was no winner or loser. This is my design that I chose to do for the final competition.
It got shown in Selfridges and it took a lot of hard work, and this is mainly where we
get our stuff done. It's mainly just the sewing machines here and up the top is where we do
our pattern cutting. This is just the main room for our sewing. You can use domestics,
but these are the top of the range. It's good to see your garment come to life,
because after you've seen it on paper, you don't really know what it is going to look
like, and once it comes together, you get really proud of yourself, and you know that
you've achieved something then. You can actually show it off to other people and that's what's
going to get you ahead in the industry. This is my favourite part of the college because
it's where all of your inspiration all of your hard work comes to life and this is where
you see the end results - which is fantastic!
