Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. I'm a clothing designer and sewing instructor
based in Los Angeles. I have been sewing since I was 14 and I absolutely adore it. I just
make all of my own clothes. I also like to make accessories for my home like throw pillows
and curtains, in addition to sewing, my other hobby is cooking. I absolutely adore cooking.
I actually started cooking when I was 7. My mom would sit my on the counter while she
was preparing dinner. She would hand me a bowl and mix something or maybe I would cut
something and at a very young age I loved combining different ingredients together and
see what I can come up with. As much as my sewing is mostly what I do for work my cooking
is actually what I do for relaxation. So I decided why don't I combine the two and make
some really fun cool kitchen accessories for my kitchen. So what's a kitchen without handy
potholders? Potholders don't have to be boring. They can be fabulous so that is what I'm going
to show you how to do today. How to take some fabric, some batting, a little bit of trim
and turn it into a potholder that will bring some fun into your kitchen and also be really
useful too. We're going to learn how to make a pattern, how to use batting, how to actually
quilt the fabric and then how to put it all together.
