Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail. On behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to make
this delicious refreshing eggnog ice cream. Now our ice cream has been in the ice cream
maker for about 20-25 minutes. This is a little bit more of a liquidly custard base to start
with after the addition of the cream. So I left it in the cream maker just a touch longer,
let's see about our consistency. You can see that is a nice frozen texture. We have a good
creamy consistency for our ice cream so what we are going to do now is take it out of the
ice cream maker and then put it in a container to store. You can serve it immediately but
you want to put any additional ice cream you are going to want to store it in the freezer
where it will be good for about a week or so. Because homemade ice cream doesn't have
the preservatives that store bought ice cream has, it's going to get ice crystals or harden
rather quickly. So you want to eat this as quickly as possible which shouldn't be a problem
so we are just going to put it into a resealable container. You also want to be careful because
on the edge of the ice cream maker you can get a bit of a frozen edge there depending
on the consistency of your ice cream. You want to be careful that you scoop it out,
you want to use if you can a silicon spatula you don't want to use one that is going to
be too soft because otherwise it won't be able to scrape everything off. So once you
get everything in there you can either serve it now or save it for later, either way you
are going to have some delicious eggnog ice cream to serve in your home for you guests
for this holiday season.
