Did you know that there are certain instances where a doctor who commits medical malpractice
may not even take financial responsibility for the injuries that he caused the patient?
Would you like to learn what this is about? Come join me as I share with you this great
information. Hi. I'm Gerry Oginski. I'm a New York medical malpractice and personal
injury trial attorney practicing law here in the state of New York. In all likelihood,
the patient who suffered an injury as a result of improper medical care may not realize that
the problems that they are experiencing are a direct result of improper medical care known
as medical malpractice or medical carelessness. And as a result of that, the patient does
not realize that they have an opportunity to bring a lawsuit seeking compensation. And
when they finally do wake up and realize that they problems they are experiencing are a
direct result of injuries caused by a doctor or a hospital, do you know what can happen?
The time limit in which to bring a lawsuit may be long gone. In that instance, the patient
will have absolutely no recourse in which to recover compensation for the injuries caused
by a physician. So when the patient finally recognizes that the injuries that he has are
a direct result of improper medical care and treatment, if the time limit has expired he
will no longer be able to obtain compensation in any form. And that basically means that
the doctor who caused this harm who clearly did not volunteer to the patient the fact
that he caused this injury now is no longer going to be financially on the hook to compensate
this patient for those injuries. So why do I share this great information? I share it
with you because for two reasons. One, that if you believe that something was done wrong
by a doctor or hospital you need to act on it sooner rather than later. And two, I do
it just to give you an insight and an understanding into some of the things that go on in the
litigation process here in the state of New York. And as always, if you have legal questions
about your particular matter what I encourage you to do is pick up the phone and call me.
I can answer your legal questions. I answer questions like this every single day and I
