Welcome to ECmanaged! In this video we will talk about a feature-IT administrators probably use most: "Creating a new Cloud server" Once you logged in to ECmanaged, you can create a new Cloud server from different places. Whether you are on the start page or you are on the compute section. From either "my platforms" or "Cloud provider", you just have to click the "Add new Cloud Server" link. In this tutorial we will create a new Cloud server directly from the start page. Click the link and a wizard will start. To move forward or backward in the wizard use the green arrows. First of all you need to name your new Cloud server, so you can identify it later or let ECmanaged provide automatically a name. Then, select the platform where your new Cloud server will be, otherwise it will belong to the default platform. Now you are ready for the second step. You have different server types available to create your Cloud server, starting from the simple type, predefined applications, customized, image, back up, or template type. The wizard will ask you for different settings depending on the type of Cloud server. For this tutorial we have selected the simple type. Now you must choose a Cloud provider, the geograpfical area, availability, and the size properties of your new cloud server, that suit your needs and budget best. Don“t forget that you should register your Cloud provider beforehand. The next step is selecting an operating system and its version. If the minimum requirements of the cloud server are met you can continue. The wizard will allow you to setup security features for your new cloud server, such as S S H keys and firewall rules, as well as networking features, such as notification, load balancing, IP addressing, and so on. In addition, you can setup advanced features, i.e., activate an expiration date, monitoring or the production Mode. The last step of the wizard will give you a summary of the configuration of your new cloud server. Once you are happy with the configuration, click the button "LAUNCH", and the wizard will start submitting the required backend operations to your cloud provider. In moments your new cloud server will be available on your dashboard and is ready to be used. Now let's have a look at the monitoring of the Cloud server to check if its status is healthy. Close the wizard and through the menus in the start page navigate to the platform, where your new cloud server is allocated. Remember that every new Cloud server can be found into the compute section of your platforms or Cloud providers. See?? Creating a new Cloud server with easy manage is quick and easy, and the monitoring is intelligent. The whole process takes only a couple of minutes or less! So, if you want to perform any management task over your recently created Cloud server, like clone, edit, stop, or even launch another like this, visit our help center for the next video, and let us rock the multicloud world with ECmanaged
