My name is Abby Jones, and I am talking about the process of moving into a new space. And,
how to set up that new space efficiently and functionally. Right now I'm standing outside
my closet. And, I've assessed the space, I've added some storage. And, so the next step
is to start adding your clothes. The first thing that I actually put into my closet was,
were my shoes. And, the reason being is that I knew where they were going to go, and so,
that made it an easy choice to start with. So, down here is where I put my shoes. I have
two shelves and then I'm using the floor underneath as a shelf, where I put the shoes that I wear
on a regular basis. I, I'm not a huge fan of using the hanging storage for shoes. Just
personally, because of the closets that I've had, have been small, and I feel that that
takes up space. But, I'm also not a shoe horse. So, I don't, I know some people that have,
love shoes and they want to keep each set separate, and clean, and so they keep them
in hanging storage. So that might be something to think about, if you have a lot of different
kinds of shoes that, that are, that you don't want to get damaged. But, but my shoes, I
don't, I guess I don't care that much about. So I'm, I'm, I just kind of throw them all
over here. I do have some shoes that I, that I care about, not getting dirty. And, some
of my dress shoes, and I'm going to put these into shoe boxes, just your regular old cardboard
shoe, shoe box, and, and put them actually up on the top shelf. So, again those are some
ideas for ways to store shoes. You can store them just on shelves, on the floor, or if
you want to be a little bit more protective of your shoes, in hanging storage, similar
to these that I have my clothes in, but they have smaller ones for shoes, or in shoe boxes.
