Alright so today's newer computers they make a lot of heat. You know you got those really
hot video cards in there, you might have a very hot CPU that perhaps would be overclocked,
and if you spent all your money on motherboard processor and video card,
you might be running a little short on dough for your case. But, you can't skimp out on the case
and buy a little junkyard case because it won't cool your components and then in turn everything
will melt and your life will end. You won't play video games, you'll meet girls,
it'll be horrible. So check this out. This is a good case because it cools,
almost any product that you put in here. This is the NZXT Zero 2.
Now if you remember the Zero, that was their last case of this design,
that was an all aluminum case and it had 7 fans. Yes, 7 fans.
Now this is like the budget version of that. It's not made out of aluminum,
it's made out of steel, but it still has space for 7 fans. Now, I'll admit to you now, it only
comes with 3 of them, but you have the ability to add 4, actually you have the ability to add 6
so it's very very impressive. So lets just jump right into it. First of all, I'll show you
the design, it does have a panel on the front so you do open it, it's held in place by magnets,
which are actually really nice. Pretty sturdy. You see if I kind of slowly.. It grabs on there.
So it's got nice magnets that are pretty strong. Right on the front there you're going to see 5,
5.25 inch bays, followed by 2, 3.5 inch bays at the bottom.
You're also going to see your Reset button, and if you want to know where your Power button is,
it's right here. Down, there you go. That's your Power button, all the stuff down here is going
to light up blue, this is the intake for your fan right here and now lets move on to the top part.
Let me do a little exercise here, Ok? You're going to see that it's pretty well..
Well connected. So right in the front you have eSATA, you have your input and output
for your headset and microphone. This has pretty much every type of connection whether it be HD
or your AC97, it'll do all the different types for standard for audio through here,
so you can connect it to your video card or your motherboard. I'm sorry, your sound card
or your motherboard. Either of them is fine, and then moving up here of course,
you have 2 USB 2.0s which are very important. And right over here,
you're going to notice that it does have a port at the top for an 80 millimeter fan.
So, this is kind of a case where everything comes in from the side and out the back,
but if you want to put some air from the top, you can and as well,
I'll show you the bottom. Got another spot right there for another,
80 millimeter fan. Now lets go to the side. This is where things get interesting.
This is where you can add 4 fans. So here's 4 of the fans you can add,
and then the 80's on the top and bottom are going to be the 5th and 6th that you can add.
Now I'm going to cross over here for a second. I'll show you this. Alright, so,
check this out. I'm going to open this thing up. Very easy to open up, you will see that you can
easily put 4, 120 millimeter fans right there, they have all the mounting holes and everything,
and that's going to pretty much put an extreme, extreme amount of air,
right on top of your motherboard, your CPU your video cards,
everything in there is going to get extremely extremely cool, plus you're going to be putting
in a lot of cool air, right by your PSU so that's going to suck some more hot air out.
Now, inside you're going to see all the mounting for your 5.25 inch bays, now these look like
they're not tool-less, but they very much are tool-less. That's just because
the little clips are not installed. They're in this box, that comes right there when you get it.
So in here, are all your clips for all your tool- less bays. You only need to use the ones that
you want, it's actually put drives in but pretty much you hook these on first, and then you
slide it, right in here, and it'll pretty much clip in. Now you do have space as well
for 6, 3.5 inch hard drives. So you can have 2 RAID 5 RAs, or you can have
3.. You know 3 drive striped and 3 redundantly stored, whatever, you have a bunch of
configurations you can do in here, you're going to see that this is you intake fan, right here,
so that's going to be pulling in cool air from the outside, through the grill
and then through these holes it's going to cool your hard drives, and then out through here
feeding cool air to the rest of this front part. But pretty much because the fact that you
have all these 4 fans right here, if you do buy extra fans and populate them here,
you're not going to be doing.. This is going to be doing your hard drive, and the rest of the air
is going to be coming in through here, and then out through the back,
and the reason you have so much air flow out the back is because you do have 2, 120 millimeter
fans, right here next to the input/output shields. So it's very nice. You usually see maybe 1 120 up
here at the top, and then down here you'll see either nothing, sometimes you'll get 180 or 280s
but this is 2, 120s right here. So that' a lot of massive amount of air flow that's going to be
coming through here. You also are going to notice they do have a couple of extra holes on the inside
for cable management, so if you want to wire your cables nicely you shouldn't have a problem,
also you notice they already prewired your eSATA for you.
All your power USBs are hooked up, and your audio is ready to go. Actually your audio is..
Yeah, here you go. See, you got different plugs. You got HD audio plug,
you got an AC97 plug, so pretty much regardless of what kind of connections you have for audio
you can get your sound cards audio up to here.. Excuse me.
You can get your sound card up here, or you can get your motherboards onboard audio, no problem
and you also will notice, that you have a nice little dust filter on the 80 millimeter here.
So, this is the NZXT Zero 2, and before I leave you, we'll light it up for you so you can see
what it looks like. If you have any questions on it email me, see you guys next time.
