How to create the 1950s updo
Hi my name is Jake Davies and I work in the John Frieda Salons in London.
Today we are going to show you how to a fanatic transformational look. Basically changing
someone's hair from long hair to short hair in a few easy steps so you can do it at home.
First product we are going to use is the Luxurious Volume Thickening Moose. Basically bulks the
hair up, makes each hair expand.
Use a little bit of product; work it through the hair, from top to bottom
Second product after the moose is the Luxurious Volume-Thickening Blow Dry Lotion
So the reason why we this product is literally just through the hair line to get maximum
volume through this area, just from about 6 inches spray it on.
So now we have the product in the hair this is where the fun starts, creating volume in
the hair.
Literally just going to lift these roots up
What's we are going to do it put a couple of pin curls into the front. Blow dry this
section of hair, wrap it back and use a medium sized round brush then we are just going to
secure it. All we are going to do is the front section of the hair
Comb through work the section of hair.
It is case of taking the section, work the brush around the section, just use z section
grip to section away, going to heat up. Work it up to the ends then curl it off to the
tips. Winding a roller, just the same thing. Just wind it up and secure the section, then
pop the pin.
We need to allow the pin curls to cool down so its nice and set work with later.
Ok final prep, work it down, as if you going to put a side pony into the hair, keep twisting
and the literally turn it back on its self, go up against the hair like that.
Just going to pin the loose tangles of hair into shape.
I'm just going to secure the whole look
now with Luxurious Thickening Volume Hairspray, just a bit of film over, there we have a fantastic
look.
And the three points of just winding the hair back, crucial zones of just getting volume
through the top and width through the sides.
