Mike: Hi, My name is Mike Robertson. Phil: and I am Phil Hassell.
Mike: Today, we would like to discuss "What is our approach to financial advice?" Over
to you, Phil. Phil: Well, first and foremost, we have two
ears one mouth and that is the way, the order, in which we should use them, priority number
one has to be listening to people. Mike: And i suppose trying to understand what
they really want to achieve, what their goals for the future are, what they would like to
achieve, (pause) and most people wouldn't even understand what a goal plan is.
Phil: No, but from our perspective, without knowing what is really important to them,
it is very difficult for us to even start to put any sort of life plan together.
Mike: So, I suppose assessing their resources today, making sure they have enough money,
trying to put the goal plan to the money, looking at their current finances, and looking
at what the future holds for them. Phil: Yeah, and I think it is very much the
case (pause) whereby most people's fear, I suppose, as they get older, running out of
time to do anything, and ultimately, when they haven't got any more time, "When's my
money going to run out?" Mike: Time, time is a pretty good one, because
most people usually turn up to us when they are around about what, 45 years of age?
Phil: Or older. Mike: Or older.
Phil: Or older, probably. Mike: Perhaps they should come a little bit
earlier. Phil: Well, the earlier the better, it is
like anything, isn't it? Mike: mmm-hmmm, and most people think they
need lots of money to come to see us. Phil: No, I mean, it is obviously important
to have money, but it is only important in relation to what you are trying to achieve,
because if you have enough money to achieve that, why take any great risks?
Mike: So it is matching the money, today. Matching the two together, filling in the
gaps with a strategy. Phil: Yeah, which is the key thing and ultimately
trying to protect that wealth, not just for them, but possibly for next generation's children
and grandchildren. Mike: mmm-hmmm, in the most tax efficient
manner. Phil: Yeah. Absolutely.
Mike: If this excites you, why not give us a call, our telephone number is 01424 777
156. It's goodnight from me. Phil: and it is goodnight from him.
Mike: Thank You.
