Hi, I'm Patti German and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist here in New York City.
In this clip we're going to talk about how to deal with passive aggressive relatives.
Well I think passive aggressive anybody relative or friend, is something that you feel a person
is not being direct, they're not being open and honest with you and I don't think you
can change their behaviors, I think its about understanding what happens to you around these
people and how to be able to cope and deal in a more satisfying way without getting angry
and without wishing that they are different. So passive aggressive is when you feel that
somebody is going around a bush and not being direct with you about something and you feel
the hurt, you feel the annoyance and to understand that you have a choice to choose people who
aren't passive aggressive who can be more direct and more open. This is Patti German
in New York City.
