Hello everyone! I've not done a video in so long so I thought it'd be nice to do another
video. Today I'm currently working for an Open Day at Kingston University. My role is
to do Campus Tours, so I'm taking groups of people around the campus and telling them
a bit more about the university, university life, the facilities at the university, so
I'm taking them around, let's say, the L.R.C. a.k.a. the Learning Resources Centre, the
Student Union Bar and other main attractions of the university. I really love Campus Tours
and I'd say that it's my favourite role in terms of the roles for the Open Day because
I feel that it gives me a chance to express myself and my opinions and to tell people
more about the university, a few facts, as well as my experiences. And with the smaller
groups I tend to get a bit more personal, just ask them a bit about themselves, like
let's say what course they're looking to study or what they're currently studying because
I feel that builds a rapport and it makes them more open to ask the questions and to
put more of an input when I'm giving the campus tours. So I've currently, it's around 11,
it's a bit before 12, I've already had three campus tours, on my first one I went around
with one of the new ambassadors, just to boost their confidence in taking campus tours and
I feel that's gone really well, now she's confident enough to go on campus tours by
herself and yeah I've loved the day so far, met a lot of new people, they've met me and
on my campus tours, I'm not going to lie I like to make it lively, crack a few jokes
and get people engaged. So that went really well and in the second group I went, I took
on a campus tour, they thanked me a lot and yeah, we talked a bit after the tour and it's
been a good day so far. I can't wait till lunch, I'm probably going on lunch in about
an hour and yeah, that's my next video, thanks everyone!
