we're here in the competition kitchen at the center for meeting and learning
to peak in on a very special culinary team building event Iron Chef-Style
Ladies and gentleman, Welcome!
welcome to the Iron Chef competition
featuring the esteemed president Spilde and the honorable Judge Hogan
tonight you are going to split into your perspective teams
and you are going to have 20 minutes in which you and your
team leaders will devise a menu and you will assign responsibilities
and you will devise a way to create at least a three course meal
to present to our chefs and judges and I am one of them, so be careful
ok, team "Tardy" over here
we are going to be a little more direct at this year so that we win
i brought a few halibut shanks to make a ceviche
so there is a lot of little things that can be chopped up for that
the evening is filled with fun and wine
(laughing)
should we have someone on our team that is designated to sabotage the other team?
that would be Larry, (laughter) I can tell already
you will have one hour to present these plates, one hour
each plate must be gorgeous and be presented in front of the judges
scallops can be marinated in a lemon juice if we wanted to do that and flavor with salt and pepper
what I would like to do is just a garlic butter sauce
you have the garlic butter and the truffles and the beef
Mary was wanting to do a pear and endive salad
so it's endive salad, pear, some hazelnuts, some Oregon blue cheese with an orange vinaigrette
fabulous, haha
so this endive salad, the first thing we need to do is
juice the orange juice by halves so it's a little syrupy
prepare to judge
here here (cheering)
I felt the best dish was the wellington so my score ended up 93 to 97 YEAH!
you won again (laughing)
congratulations
