Hi, guys. Today I'm doing a half-up/half-down look.
I absolutely love these looks because I think they're so versatile.
And this one is with a twist and a fish braid.
So you're just going to need a few things,
just a hairbrush to brush through the hair
and a sectioning comb.
And then we're going to need one hair band,
like a medium size one.
And then a small hair elastic just to finish off the braid.
And then, as always,
I'm gonna finish it off with my hairspray.
This is the Bed Head Tigi Masterpiece hairspray,
which I absolutely love.
It smells gorgeous and it holds my hair so well.
So I'm gonna go from the tops of my ears back.
And you can use your fingers for these or a sectioning comb,
whichever you find easiest.
So I'm just gonna go from the top of my ears back.
If you already clipped in your extensions,
you want to make sure you've got enough hair to cover them up.
And I'm just gonna brush through this section with the comb,
just to make it nice and neat.
And then taking the hair elastic, I'm just gonna tie it off.
So I'm going to turn round to do the rest of this tutorial
so you can kind of see what I'm doing a bit easier.
We're gonna twist this top section.
So you want to pull down the hair band a little bit
and make it a gap above it...
like this.
And then taking that section of hair,
we're just going to flip it up and through that gap...
like this and then just pull it through underneath.
So we're just going to gather this section of hair.
I'm just gonna give it a quick brush through with the comb.
And then you can put all your hair underneath to one side
if you don't want it to get caught up in there.
And then to do a fishtail braid, all you need to do
is split this section into two...
like this.
And then we're going to take a small section from one side on the outside
like this and pass it over to the other side.
And then repeat this on the other side.
So you take a small section
from the outside and pass it over.
And then a small section,
Pass it over.
Fishtail braids are a bit more tricky to do from the back of your head,
so you might want to practice doing the side braid
like I did in my other tutorial first,
but once you've got the hang of it, it's really easy,
and you should be able to do it.
So once you've fishtail braided all the way down that section of hair,
we're just going to take a small hair elastic and tie it off.
And then the look is complete.
So, yeah, I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial.
Please have a go at it and let me know how you get on
in the comments below.
I will leave the links to the fishtail braid tutorial,
