It's not looped, it really ...I don't know how to do the this in special effects anyway.
I do know how to make one of these though. You can make one as well. It's easy. I say
forever but the battery will run out at some point and the universe will end so ...a long
time!
So take your fan or your motor whatever goes round and round and you're going to hook that
up to a power source, if you're using a battery, you get the red wire going to the little one
and the black wire goes to the big terminal on the battery. And just check that that works.
You can stick your finger in....NO DON'T STICK YOUR FINGER IN THERE! That's a bad idea! Now
get some bluetack. Stick that to the side that turns. Stick a coin in there, that will
create a little gap, that makes sure that the CD doesn't rub off the casing. So spin
it round a little bit, just make sure that you don't hear any scraping noises. If you
do, it'll cause vibration. It will sound horrible!
You magnets should stick on to the motor itself so they won't require any bluetack, the gap
there should be such that they don't stop the motor but they are magnetic enough so
they will stick onto it.
So give it a good spin and make sure it's even. Just squeeze it. The nice thing about
using sticky tack is that you can adjust it real quickly.
Just test that it works. It'll vibrate like crazy you'll find. So all you do is you solve
that problem with some sticky tack. I'm just sticking it inside something I can move the
device around in but you can stick it straight onto the table if you want to. Now that plastic
needs to come over it, that'll stop any flying magnets from hitting you in the face. Plastic
will protect you. You'll need sometimes another bit of metal or magnet to get the motor going,
sometimes when you connect up the power, it refuses to start by itself until it gets a
nudge. You should find now when you spin your coin on it...but wait! the gap isn't just
right, that will take some patience and adjustment. You want it so close that it will spin the
coin but not too close that it will not allow the coin to spin. Now it's a bit closer and
now THEREWEGO! It works. *thumbs up FTW* Then you can spend the rest of your day just throwing
random parts of metal into the magnetic field, just to see what happens for fun.
