Hey everyone, welcome to our Showcasing Leadership series. Today we
are on the St. George U of T campus interviewing a bunch of everyday
regular student leaders, figuring out what are they involved in and what are they
getting out of the process. Hopefully you enjoy our video and learn lots.
Hi, my name is Nicole Torneiro. I'm the Social Director at Innis College Student Society.
My name is Parham Adiban I'm in the Innis Soccer intramural team.
Hi, I'm Sammy. I'm one of the Athletic Directors for Innis College Student Society.
Hi, I'm Mercedes, and I'm Kaspars
We are involved in Harold's House, which is basically just an open mic night.
I'm Zubin Ali and I'm the Sneak Previews Coordinator for CINSSU.
Working with my peers on council, putting our heads together to
think of the best solutions
for stuff. And,
working with people that are my age, rather than
working with people that are older than me.
Meeting others that have the same passion as me in soccer.
Overcoming my shyness and thinking that because other people are older than me they can kind of tell me what to do.
I think coming up with an idea... I knew I really wanted to have a certain event and I kind of just put my foot down and
said this is what we're doing,
this is how we're going to get it done
and I think that will be the moment that I remember. I'm really proud of it.
It's a lot of fun. You get to meet other people who have the same musical talents and you can showcase your talent.
I've done a lot of films, and I've gotten to work with a lot of studios,
meet a lot of connections in the industry, so that's been really helpful.
I've also got to be more involved with the other students in Cinema Studies.
That's been a great experience. And I feel all around more productive than I was before joining.
