Hi, I'm Karen for Expert Village. Ok, now I'll show you how to shape the bow sections.
You'll want to put them on a piece of baking paper, or a tray that's been set up. And you
are going to shape them like the sections of the bow. You can pinch the ends here. Keep
in mind the part that's on the cake will be flat. And then the part that's on the top
will be rounded. Now it is supposed to look like a bow, so don't be too fussy if they
don't all come out exactly the same. They don't all need to be exactly the same. You
want them to be fairly close. You make all these little bow sections. Now we lay them
up on their side like this because they'll dry in the proper shape. And you'll need to
let that dry until its sturdy. Until you can put it back here and it won't flop down. So,
we'll put them on the side, and just take all of your eight sections and shape them
and we'll set that aside to dry.
You could pinch the end bit together.
Another way to do, to shape the bow sections, is to use a small rolling pin. And you can
wrap it around the rolling pin like this. But you have to have the right diameter. So
the better method is to lay it up on its side. We'll make an additional one for the center.
For the center loop. And you'll just make it almost like a circle and that we'll put
in the center.
