>> ELLA: Hey guys. It’s Ella from Make Cheese, and I want to give you a little bit of a tiny
intro lesson to making cheese.
So everybody knows what cream cheese looks like.
It looks like when you go into the store, it looks like this.
It comes in containers like this. These are 250 gram containers. So keep that in mind:
$3-4 for 250 grams.
Now, let’s say that you journeyed into cheese making and you decided to make your own cream
cheese, and you went and you bought a gallon of milk.
Now that’s $5.
So right away, you’re like, well if I made my own cream cheese, it’s going to be $5,
I could just buy my own pre-made stuff and save $5.
But, take a look at how much cheese you actually get from one gallon of milk.
See that?
If you were here, you’d be like “Woah, that’s so heavy. It’s really heavy. You’d
be like, woah, I can’t even hold it it’s so heavy. I need to go lift weights.”
That, compared to - woah, so light.
I do have a scale here. So I did just measure this. This is 1kg of cream cheese. Isn’t
that amazing?
The only objection left that you might be thinking is, “if I make it myself, is it
going to be as good?”
You’re a picky eater, so if you like it then -
>> ROOMMATE: Mmm. It is good. It’s like Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
>> ELLA: Is it like Philadelphia, or is it better?
>> ROOMMATE: Mmmm…It’s like Philadelphia.
>> ELLA: It’s like…? Oh gosh. We’ll edit that out.
[laughter]
He said it’s like it, he didn’t say it’s worse. Plus, if it’s like it, you get a
lot more.

>> JESSICA: It tastes like cream cheese.
>> ELLA: Do you want to eat the whole thing?
>> JESSICA: Right now? No.
>> ELLA: This is amazing! It is good.
>> JESSICA: That is actually, that is good.
>> ELLA: Yummy. Oh, the oven is going. Please go make my dinner.
