I'm Gabe Garza with today's health news. Regular pot use might be fun for the young, but when
not tapered down, it could lead some to a mid-life crisis. According to a new study
from University of California-Davis and Duke University those who smoke at least four times
a week throughout adult life could experience significant economic and relationship issues
by middle age. In this study researchers analyzed a study of about 1,000 subjects who were born
around 1972 and followed from age 3 to 38 as part of a study from the University of
Otago in New Zealand. The authors found that over time, those who smoked pot heavily, increasingly
had trouble at work, in personal relationships, difficulty in moving up the economic ladder
and even more financial troubles than heavy alcohol users. If you are struggling with
alcohol or drug dependence, don't be afraid to seek help. For dailyRx, I'm Gabe Garza.
