Erik: How do you create hope and dispel fear when introducing new concepts and ideas?
Jason: I don't think about that. Because you're always gonna have somebody who -- there's
always people that are gonna react to what you do. There are gonna be people that are
afraid of it and there are gonna people that love it and -- I think of a very specific
example, I launched an online promotion for Yahoo. The first one that we ever launched.
And this just followed suit no matter what you do, this -- within 24 hours, there's a
whole bunch of people that are saying how bad it is, and that the rules are wrong and
it's a scam, and it's a this and it's a that, and it's -- To me, that's fear. Right, there's
fear in that person and they're trying to say how this is not a good thing to be involved
in. But eventually, over time, what happens and time being another 24 hours there's other
people that jump into this conversation and say, "No, you're wrong, if you would have
really actually read the terms and conditions, then they're not trying to pull one over on
you," or -- and I think that there's a lot of self balancing that happens in life. And
so I don't really try and combat it because it's always gonna exist, and it usually gets
worked out.
