Hey there guys and gals, in this video we are going to find out if all sharks stay in
saltwater or if some can live in freshwater. When you normally think about swimming with
sharks, you picture yourself in the ocean which is saltwater. So, you may think that
swimming in a freshwater river, you would never see a shark. But, what if I told you
that one type of shark has been found over 2,000 miles up a river from the ocean? Yep,
this type of shark has also been found in lakes connecting to rivers. To top it off,
this shark is no little ol fish, nope it can get to be over 7 feet long and weigh up to
300 pounds. Do you know what kind of shark this might
be? Well, if you said the Bull Shark then you
are right! While there is a chance that you could bump
into a bull shark in a river, don’t worry too much as they are not known for attacking
people. Ummm, I still wouldn’t wanna mess with it, just in case it was grumpy or really,
REALLY hungry. Ok, that is our animal fact for this video.
Oh one question before you go…will you be swimming in the river this summer?
