Hi, we are back and as promise we will talk about how to hold the guitar. As you can see
I'm holding on my left knee and my left legs is raised I'm using a foot stool. This is
the classical guitar position. The reason this has been around for ages and everyone
uses it to play the classic guitar is because it is the most efficiency and the most comfortable.
It makes it very easy on your hands. Your hands are for playing you use your body for
holding the guitar you don't want to hold the guitar with your hands. The important
thing is you want to keep the neck up, you don't want it down, you don't want to have
a strange angle on your wrist it is very uncomfortable. And keep the body down and out of the way
especially this big oh thing here. Now if you are standing it is the same idea you want
to keep the neck up and usually well use a strap most of the time if you are standing
but you want this guitar in this configuration. Not like this. But you are probably wondering
why those guys on M-TV put it behind their head and play it with their teeth and all
that. They can do that because they are physically able to do that and they are willing to sacrifice
some efficiency as far as they are playing. You can do that as well, I want you to learn
how to do it this way first. So that is it keeps that in mind it is all about efficiency
and not using any unwasted any wasted motion. So put your guitar on your knee or strapped
up and let's get going.
