Today, we're going to use HootSuite to create an automatic posting
of our Zazzle RSS feed over to a Google Plus business page.
Open up Hootsuite, scroll over your left menu... to "Settings."
Choose "RSS / Atom."
Click the plus sign: "Add New Feed"
Copy and paste in your Zazzle RSS Feed.
Choose the Google+ business page
you want your feed to go to.
You can choose to check for a new post every hour
or up to once every 24 hours. Let's choose every hour.
You can choose to send one post at a time, or
up to 5 posts at a time.
Let's choose two posts - two Zazzle designs at a time.
We're going to un-check this box:
"Include text from post in messages"
By un-checking it, you are NOT sending a price over to your Google+ business page.
You can "Prepend text to each message."
Let's go ahead and put in, "New Designs:"
This will appear before
each feed item that you send over.
You can choose a URL shortener.
I just leave it at the default. ... And save the feed.
And that's it! That's all you need to do.
You can turn your feed on and off
by using the buttons over here.
You can edit a feed. You can change anything in here.
The only thing you can't change is your feed URL.
If you want to change your feed URL,
you're going to need to delete this one, and create a new feed.
And, you delete by clicking the trash can here - "Delete Feed."
So, let's go look at it over on Google+.
Here's an example on Google+. This is a sticker from Zazzle,
and if you click the link in the text above...
It takes you over to Zazzle, and that's what we want.
And if you click the link right next to the sticker,
that also takes you over to Zazzle
which is what we want.
And, there's no price, which is what I prefer.
Here's another example, and this one includes a price.
So you can see, if you had left that box checked,
this is how it would look over on your Google Plus business page.
Now after you have a whole bunch done,
you might occasionally want to come in here...
into your Google+ business page, and click this arrow here.
Choose "Edit post" And now I can come in and put a hashtag
in front of the keyword. I'm putting it in front of Llama.
And click, "Save."
And now what happens is.. if anybody clicks on that hashtag,
I'm tied into all the other llama posts on there,
and they're also tied into mine.
See here it is right here... one of my other ones that was already hashtagged
with a llama.
And that's another way of connecting on Google Plus.
So go ahead and try it out, and see how you like it.
