Today on the go, were driving a luxury four-door fully loaded with heated and cooled seats,
leather and touchscreen navigation. Also, its a truck.
Nowadays, your average workhorse is transformed from a Clydesdale to a souped-up stallion
with 22 inch chrome hooves. So lets take a trip down memory lane, say circa 2003? Clearly
weve come a long way.
It really is staggering what ford has done in just ten years. One thing that makes this
truck really impressive is the fact that this is a V6. It has more power than the old V8,
but is more fuel-efficient that the old V6. What makes me sad is the fact that this is
more fuel-efficient than my car.
So to put it into perspective just how much more fuel-efficient the 2013 is In 2003, the
Ford F-150, on a single tank of gas could go from Edmonton, all the way to Fort McMurray
and almost all the way back to right there. But the 2013 F-150 on a single tank of gas
can go from Edmonton to Fort McMurray, back to Edmonton, almost all the way back to Fort
McMurray. Thats a difference of 451 kilometers. Crap.
