In this next clip we're going to be learning how to do a flip o.k. Now a flip is from here;
you're going to be holding your Kama, flip it around, and use... and then pointing the
wood end further back around. This is good, now if you want to do a forearm, flip it around,
BAM! Pose, you can do a strike this way, come back around and flip back around. So you want
to do one, two. Alright, so let's go ahead and break that down. O.K. So when doing a
flip, put your fingers in between like this, you're going to roll it around, put your thumb
in the other side, flip, and grab. One more time; so now flip it back around one and grab.
O.K. So fingers in between, put your thumb on the other side, pushing it out with the
thumb, and grab. One more time, and flip. Now you can do it going like straight over,
you go over. Like you want to do it... I like doing it sideways; swinging it sideways, it
makes it look really neat! Spin, and then BAM! Back towards chop or back towards chop.
One, spin around, two. O.K. One, two. You can also do strikes with the other end; sometimes
you'll see some Kamas, they'll have a blade on this side, sticking out like this O.K.
So those look good, but these ones don't, but we'll...., sometimes we like to use the
sticks as strikes. So one more time, put it in between your fingers, spin it around one,
two, get it back around and to a strike. So let's go ahead and put that together; so let's
go one, two, three, four, strike, here, flip around, and then we'll do a upside down strike,
rip, flip back around, doubles. One, two. O.K. So you can do it any way you want, you
can do a... you know flip around this way, you just, you just hold it here, flip it around
and do a... like a double strike BAM! then rip. O.K. So any way you want, "flip arounds"
are really cool. You know, doing it with both hands; one. You can go one, two, just throw
it...any way you want, any way you want, It's a really cool move to do and it's going to
add to your extreme form.
