Shields
The design on the obverse of the seal is the coat of arms of the United States. The shield, although sometimes drawn incorrectly, has two main differences of the American flag.
First of all, it does not have stars in the azur chief.
Secondly, unlike the American flag, the outer stripes are white, not red; so as not to violate the heraldic rule of tincture.
The defender of the shield is a bald eagle with open wings.
From the perspective of the eagle, which holds a group of thirteen arrows in its left claw (in reference to the thirteen original states), and an olive branch in its right claw, it smbolizes that the United States has a strong desire for peace, but he will always be ready for war.
Although not specified in the law, the olive branch usually represents thirteen leaves, and thirteen olives, representing again the original states.
The eagle has its head turned towards the olive branch, on its right side, it symbolizes a preference for peace.
In its beak, the eagle carries a parchment with the motto "E pluribus unum" - Of many, one.
On his head appears a glory with thirteen stars in a field of azure.
The thirteen stars on the eagle are arranged in rows of 1-4-3-4-1, forming a six-pointed star.

On the back a truncated pyramid is shown.
Above the pyramid is an eye in a triangle, surrounded by a glory.
The pyramid is conventionally shown as a set of thirteen layers to refer to the original states.
The Roman numeral "MDCCLXXVI" is inscribed in the base of the pyramid, in relation to the declaration of independence of the United States of America.
Two slogans appear: "Annuit Coeptis" - Approve the things that have started; and "Novus Ordo Seclorum" - New order of the centuries.
Rare is the time when the reverse of the Great Seal is represented.
However, it appears on the right side of the back of one dollar bills.
