"Make a precision decision with Precision Air. Trained professionals with
integrity. Call 602FIXMYAC. Make a precision decision with Precision Air." Hello everybody.
Erik Bryan here, owner of Precision Air & Heating. Since 1995, we have performed well over 250,000
service calls across the valley. We thought, what better way to share our experience and
know-how than answering some common homeowner questions. Grady in Scottsdale asks, "I am
looking to buy a new unit. What government rebates are currently available on new AC
equipment? How can I qualify?" Great question Grady. The key word here is qualify. Everyone
of the rebates that are potentially out there from federal tax credits to even the utility
companies, all are wrapped around qualifying equipment. The qualifying equipment means
exactly that....you have to buy a certain level of air conditioning equipment to qualify
for these credits. Every single technician will be able to highlight those pieces of
equipment for you. $300 is the federal tax credit amount nationwide, for a new piece
of qualifying equipment. SRP and APS are local utility companies, both also offer a rebate.
$400 for SRP, up to $400. APS is up to $270, and their requirements are actually quite
a bit lower. You only have to have a minimum of 13 SEER piece of qualifying equipment.
Both SRP and APS, offer $175 rebate for duct repair. If, in conjunction with your air conditioning
purchase, you have to make modifications to your duct system, you can also grab an additional
$175. Thank you for sharing your questions. I hope this helps shed some light on keeping
your home operating properly and as efficiently as possible. If you have questions, regarding
your A/C, heating, plumbing or home performance needs, post your questions on our Facebook
page and check back for additional videos. Who knows...we might just answer your question
next. "Make a precision decision with Precision Air."
