Hello my name is Alex from 'LSK'
Due to Yuri having some personal issues i will be interviewing for her spot today, Thank you.
Today we have a really famous player from SKT T1 #2, It will be Faker
(clap)
Hello Faker. I became a fan of you since the leblanc plays
After that you started getting a lot of attention from the community.
So we had some questions from reddit and we wish to have a fun time answering these AMA questions today.
Let's begin our first question from the user "VoidBro"
Who's your favorite non-Korean pro player?
I previously said before in a tournament that i like Alex Ich.
Right.
And yes so i still like Alex Ich..but then i don't watch too much of the global scenes
so i am not familliar with the other pro players
anyway, i like players that try hard and that is why i like Alex ich.
I think you are well aware that
Alex Ich said Faker's performance is so awesome and examplary.
I heard that he mentioned me about something.
Alright so next question.
Even though SKT T1 #2 Did remarkbly well you guys fell down at the 4th round at the OGN spring season.
If there are any things that you think your team needs to improve on what would it be?
If there is anything that we need to improve i think it's our personal skill level...
i personally think that this is the most important thing
because if there is a goal that you want to achieve you have to put in the effort into it.
And so alot of global fans questioned this,
What's the reason why you're better than different Asia Mid players?
Also is there anything special that only you can do?
I don't think that im that good but i think im pretty good at team fights,
Others think that im good at laning phase but i think im best at team fights.
If you have a mid laner that pops up in mind that probably could do as well as you.
Can you tell us about it?
For team fights a player that could be similar to me would be Rapidstar.. Min-Sung Jung.
He's really good at judgement making
and Ambition / Dade these players don't do too well in team fights
but they have their own specialities...
like reading the game.. eating cs.
Yes, Reading the game and they excel at lane phase..
You are right.
Actually if we look at the questions here it says that you are famous for being good in solo queues with Syndra.
But then if we look at the tournaments Syndra is not used very often.
Could you tell us why it is not used very much?
and also if there are champions that have the same reason for it not being used in tournaments
could you list a few?
Firstly Syndra is not a bad champion.
It can become a good or bad champion the way you play it.
But there are not many players that can use syndra properly.
I don't think there is, honestly i cannot use Syndra.
Yes i agree with you i can't seem to use Syndra very well recently
because i lost some confidence in playing her.
I just want others to know that Syndra is not a bad champion.
So in what ways do you think Syndra is a good champion?
Parden?
Like what part of Syndra specifically makes her a good?
Syndra does not have any bad sides but still, people do not use her that much.
Is she hard to use?
Yes, She is hard to use but other than that she is an amazing champion.
If there is a champion that is similar to Syndra
but has not been used so much with the players which champion would you pick?
I think Xerath.. I think Xerath is a very good champion.
hmm Xerath.. I think i have seen a Xerath win against a 5vs1 situation.
It is because Xerath is a good champion..
Yes uhh... Well here is a fun question. Do you like Kimchi?
.. This is an obvious question.
You should not hate kimchi.
- Right - You gotta love Kimchi
- As a Korean? - If you are a Korean you should love Kimchi.
ah~ okay. Next Question. Favourite Top 5 champion?
uh.. Favourite champions..
Something like Nidalee and Xerath.
it seems like that champions that i like playing are mostly poking champions..
Nidalee, Xerath, Jayce.. like these?
Yes and Ezreal oh Ezreal pokes too.
when we talk about poking it is not a selected target
but instead it is a skill shot where you have to aim so i think you need more control
-Isn't that the reason why it is more fun to poke? -right
It seems like you can play a lot of champions.
Normally a mid laner needs to know how to use at least 3 champions freely.
What are some champions that you think you must know how to play if you are a mid laner?
Well Froggen has mentioned that you should play Anivia and Ahri before.
Firstly Ryze and.. Ryze is the most important champion.
If you can play Ryze well then you can player other champions.
Oh~ so that was the problem. I do not know how to use Ryze so my tier.. What else are there?
If you keep playing Ryze your keyboard control will get better (Mechanics).
-So do not supposed to just spam your keyboard? - Yes you should not.
Is there something different in casting your skills? patterns when you should cast like QWER..
It depends on the situation you are in but there are even pro players who cannot use it very well.
Right
For example in our team 'Impact' cannot do it.
Ryze?
Ryze seems like a very simple easy champion
but it is a champion that actually needs proficiency in it.
Next would be twisted fate.
Twisted fate helps you learn how to look at the mini map
so it is another important champion to learn.
Player like Ambition has 100% win rate right?
Yes, and Lastly im not too sure about the champion but your skill level...
Right. Your third best champion should be your own skill.
Ah yes! Of course when you say Faker it must be Leblanc.
Alright so there was this person who questioned this.
I was amazed at how you played your Leblanc,
How many hours of practice do you think you needed to put in to make your Leblanc so beastly?
uh just one day before..
- What? - I just decided that i wanted to play le blanc.
So you never played le blanc before?
I played leblanc when i was doing placement matches and the early stages of ranked.
Lets move on to our next question.
On your early days as a pro player what champions did you play to go up the rating?
I used leblanc to go up the rating
because i thought that leblanc was an easy champion to carry with
and then after some time i started playing Ryze.
Next was Ryze..
I played Ryze until about 2k Elo and from then i started playing a lot more champions.
There is a telling that Leblanc cannot carry late game, is this true?
- Yes - Is this story correct?
In ranked when LeBlanc gets a kill your team players might just say "oh? we won this game"
and just carry on playing with their *Already won mental*
That is how you lose and that i think is the disadvantage in solo queue for LeBlanc.
If you die game becomes harder. Ryze does not have this kind of thing right?
Yes Ryze itself is just kind of weird
OK good.
If there is a champion that would go perfectly fine in any team comps what would it be?
ah.. Team comps?
Yes a champion that doesn't have to look at their team comp to play well
- Orianna - Orianna!
and Ryze.
Twisted Fate... it is all the same.
Ah~ and thats why these champions are banned.
Recently alot of NA users have come to find a trend.
So what is happening now days is that they get in to the inven community site
and so if there is a champion that you could tell the NA users to aim to make a new meta with
what champion would it be?
Firstly Jayce is an OP champion in korea.
When Jayce is played they usually go mid, so i practiced him alot.
After practicing Jayce i found it that Jayce can easily win in the laning phase.
Due to that he can go roaming easily
and also he does not lack any damage in early mid late game
so you can basically destroy every lane once you start roaming.
What items should Jayce start with?
or is there any specific items that you would recommend on Jayce?
For your first item going Tear of goddess would be the best
because in League of Legends i think Jayce is one of the fastest tear stacking champions.
it is even faster than Singed who just puts his Q on all the time.
They nerfed R now. When you press R it does not stack anymore..
Yes it does not work anymore but it still stacks alot,
Since Jayce is mana efficient tear is a really good item on Jayce
and also it has a very good synergy effect with manamune.
Once you get tear you just get damage wise items.
next item should be based on AD.
Blue Jayce, it does not work right? I do not think it is as efficient as other builds...
If you deliberately go blue build that could be considered as troll
but blue items are good for Jayce..
Oh really? oh so it is fine to go that way. Does Jayce need any survival items?
You do not need it. You just have to stay behind
Ah~ yeah since you poke from the back..
Okay. Thanks to Allstar players we have 3 spots for the Korean teams.
Which Korean teams do you think will make it for Worlds?
I think sword since they won winter season and their circuit point is in 1st place..
So sword will definately go?
Not definately.. but i just think that sword will go to Worlds once again.
Okay so for the second team i think it would be a team who does well this season
and for the third team i think it would be our team.
Good, Yes i think that is how it will go.
With this confidence you can definately go to Worlds.
Alright so for you guys to go to Worlds
it is going to be important for you guys to do well in OGN Champions Summer
We would like to hear some words for your determination in Summer season
We came third last season and during the time Blaze and MVP ozone preparing for Finals
We prepared a lot too. From last season i have experienced many things
so i think you guys can expect some good results from us this season.
We will do our best in this season go to worlds and spread our name.
Okay Lastly a word for your fans out there in the world.
Well thank you guys hope you guys go up tier this season and it was Faker today. Thank you.
