Tonight, we are in Hong Kong. Last time, we left you in Norway with Hurtigruten...
and here we go again for another cruise on the Costa Allegra.
After 16 hours of travel, we discover the spectacular city lights in the Bay of Victoria Harbour.
The tugboats are busy around the ship, all passengers are on deck to watch departure.
It is midnight, the ship's siren is resounding in the Bay of Hong Kong...
and Costa Allegra is beginning to move away from the dock.
We are off to a 2-week dream voyage on this floating village...
as in a giant episode of The Love Boat.
Our journey in the South China Sea will take us first to Manila, Philippines.
Then to Borneo and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, and Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei.
From there, we will continue to Singapore and will have two stops in Vietnam...
in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
The resort city of Sanya in China will be our last stop before returning finally to Hong Kong.
Costa Allegra is leaving the last lights of the suburbs of the city.
We're a bit tired, in fact, as we have been travelling for 36 hours already!
Back now to the cabin for a well-deserved rest.
A first day has passed, all in navigation.
The ship is sailing to Manila, Philippines, where we are expected tomorrow morning.
The Costa Allegra will have traveled 622 nautical miles, or about 1000 km.
