2,200 people die every year
of sudden cardiac arrest in the City of Toronto last year
CPR saved eleven people
and I think that that's just the beginning
You can call 911, I need help now we've got an unconscious patient not breathing
and I'm starting CPR
like most people I'm aware of CPR, but I don't know how to do it
but today at City Hall Toronto EMS walked me through the process
And you know what? It's says easy as 1,2,3...
There you go, you won't get so tired that way
If a guy like me, can learn it in minutes I them I would
recommend that everyone out there
should at one point or another hopefully sooner rather than later
Take a EMS - CPR course
Take the pad
Shock delivered - Start CPR
As the Deputy Mayor of the City of Toronto
I'm pleased to tell you that the City became aware
of the benefits of having these defibrillators
at Toronto buildings
swimming pools, community centres, City Hall
They are there, the Defibrillators are there help you
in effort to I'll expand the range of these Defibrillators
and the benefits that they bestow
we're going to be talking to the Province to see if we can
push along some legislation that will make them mandatory
in the office buildings as well
So all together - City Hall, Provincial Legislature
and yourself as individuals we will take a giant step
towards improving public safety
and public health
What do you think?
What do you think? - What do you think?
Well it's as easy as 1,2,3...
