where it’s an exciting day as we await the arrival of our Recruit for Loot winner,
Noreen Petty! Wait, she’s here!
(uptempo music and clapping)
(Kristine) Welcome, Noreen, to the Close To My Heart corporate offices.
We’re so excited to welcome you here for your Recruit for Loot Shopping Spree.
How do you feel? (Noreen) Wonderful! I’m so excited!
(Kristine) Are you ready? (Noreen) Yes. (laughs)
(Kristine) Noreen, I know you’re an accomplished woman. You are a retired Air Force Captain,
marathoner, mother of twins; there is nothing you can’t do. But this is a pretty
extraordinary event you’re going to be competing in today and I’d like to
have your thoughts on what you’ve been doing to prepare.
(Noreen) Well, I’ve been, uh, bench pressing Cricut cartridges to kind of get my arms in shape.
Um, I’ve been flicking sparkles to make sure I had those covered,
and then lots of hand flexing so that I was able to grab large quantities of products
at one time to keep it very efficient.
(Kristine) All right, let’s get suited up and do the Spree. (Noreen) All right, let’s go!
(cheering; inspirational music plays)
(cheering; inspirational music continues)
(Kristine) Welcome! Welcome Noreen to the Close To My Heart warehouse.
We can see that you’re all suited up and you’re stretched out, warmed up, ready to go.
Now, before you, you see not the entire warehouse but what we call our pick lines
where you have representatives of all current product and, to make your shopping spree
a little bit easier, we have prepared the “Queen Noreen” Shipping Cart.
You can stack it and load it any way that you wish with any products that you wish.
We have put three minutes on the timed clock behind you. Here is your start line.
You will start and finish at this line. When you start to hear us counting down
toward the end of your three minutes, I need you to hustle your muscle back
over this line because you get to take home everything that is across this line
when that countdown hits zero. You hear me, Captain? (Noreen) I got it!
(Kristine) All right, roger that! Okay, she is ready to rock and roll.
Everybody, are you ready? 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...GO!
(Kristine) Okay, here she goes, she’s running into the stack, what is she going to choose first?
She’s making her way directly to the paper it looks like. Going for the paper.
Going for the paper, going deep, deep into the stacks. She’s piling on paper.
It makes an absolutely excellent base, nice and sturdy, very stable.
She looks like she has a lot of thought and consideration into what she’s planning.
She’s choosing a lot of the hot new paper packs for fall. Also choosing cardstocks,
working her way up the stacks. Is she going for bulk paper? It looks like she is.
Planning, planning, look at her go. Grabbing a couple of how to products,
lots and lots of paper, very stable base, but a little bit slippery!
They’re in that shrink wrap. I don’t know. I don’t know if they’re going to hold.
I don’t know if they’re going to tip over. Desk pads. Every Consultant
needs lots and lots of desk pads and everybody knows that Noreen is a hard-working
Consultant with lots of customers. She’s going to use those desk pads.
Now here she moves, she’s moving through. She’s getting a lot of Versamats.
Those are great. 2 minutes, Noreen! 2 minutes. One third of your time has expired!
Off she goes, she’s not getting rattled, not one bit. No, she’s just working it calmly,
coolly, collectively. Working herself into the stamps area. Gotta get those stamps.
She is stuffing the stamps into her pants. Off she comes over to the other side,
wheeling it around — Oh, she’s lost some paper packs there on the turn!
Careful, that’s a tough turn, it’s a tight turn and she’s working it through.
She’s definitely having some slipping, some sliding, definitely having some
trouble here with some of her products. Trying to stack up on the paper.
She’s now in the embellishments area. Working through the embellishments area,
she’s grabbing a lot of the hot new embellishments for fall. She’s working on that
Cottage assortment, the Brocade assortment, the Autumn Lane assortment. Stuffing them
into her pants as fast as she can go. So smart, such a wise competitor, really
thinking this event through. She’s getting all those fabulous embellishments
that would otherwise would slide off the cart, she is stuffing those into her drawers.
1 minute, Noreen, 1 minute! 1 minute. You are down to 1 minute and counting.
Getting really tense, I don’t know how she’s gonna pull this off.
She is making her choices oh-so-carefully. I cannot believe what she is choosing here.
Let’s see, she’s still working her way through the embellishments and ribbon. Gotta have the ribbon.
Lots and lots of different ribbon, totally just piling those on. What in the world
is she going to do? She’s gonna have to be emptying out her pants for the rest of the day!
This is absolutely extraordinary. I’ve never in all my life seen this. 30 seconds!
Noreen, you’re down to 30 seconds! 30 seconds, Noreen! 30 seconds: can she do it?
Getting a little bit frantic. Kind of making a crazy mess of the Close To My Heart warehouse.
She is in her zone. Here you go, here you go! Choose a few more, you have more time!
10...9...8...7 Aaaa! ...6...5...4...3...2...1...Whoo!
(Kristine) Whoooooo! Wooohooo! (cheering and screams)

(Kristine) Ah, Noreen, I don’t think I’ve ever seen quite a competition like that!
Your pants are literally around your ankles. How do you feel?
(Noreen) I feel wonderful! This is awesome! I love Close To My Heart!
(screaming and cheering)
