I first started to develop psoriasis about six years ago now.
The main symptoms I get are itching and redness and also flakiness.
The main places on my body that I get the symptoms are on my hands, arms and on my face.
If it was a really bad day and it was really flared-up. I would try not to go out,
sometimes when it's flared-up badly on my face, I won't even go to the local shop.
Some people you see look at you as if you've got something what might be catching.
I don't know if it is paranoia, but you feel that people are taking a step back from you because they're not quite sure what it is.
So it just kind of makes you more self conscious about it.
The more stressed out I get, the worse it flares up.
Also it itches, so then it will bleed and then it just looks worse and it just like all adds on top of each other.
Also when I am more stressed out I smoke as well which can also agrevate it
so it's just a vicious cycle really which I am struggling to get out of.
I've been prescribed many different creams and stuff over time.
I've had several different steroid type creams and also bathing liquid which you put in the bath and wash with.
Also shampoo for where I get it on my scalp and because they contain steroids, you can only take them short term anyway,
so it felt a bit like putting a plaster over a wound.
