Now in this clip, we are going to talk about some of the over-the-counter medication that
you can easily and readily purchase in your local pharmacy or drug store to help with
the pain and the fever and the aching from colds and flus. Here are some of the products
that you can easily, availably buy. And aspirin is good because aspirin has anti-inflammatory
and it can decrease pain and fever. It is anticoridic as we call it in medicine. It
has all of these properties. So, aspirin is a good way to alleviate some of the symptoms
of colds and flus. Of course, Advil is good and you can get them in multiple forms. You
can get them in gels and capsules. This is the gel form. So Advil is good for pain that
you get, like muscular aches that you get from the viral flu. And Tylenol, here you
can even get particular medication that is specifically for colds. So this is Tylenol
Cold. It's non-drowsy so you can take this during the day. If you have to work or drive,
it's best to take one. And, at night time when the cold and flu is interfering with
your sleep, you can take ones that help you to sleep. So, also, Tylenol is good. But remember
that for kids there are specifics in terms of the dosage. You have to be very aware for
children. So buy over-the-counter drugs that are specifically the right dosage for children.
And usually, like for instance, we have here Cherry-flavored chewable tablets because children
are very reluctant to swallow tablets and take medication. So always look for particular
dosage for children and for elderly as well. And like I said, there are products out there
that are specifically packaged for those population groups. So these are just some of the items
and products that you can buy readily available at the local drugstore and pharmacy that would
help to ease some of the symptoms of colds and viral flus.
