KEZIA : Hi there Humber it's Kezia Hinds with your weekly update for
April 17. Spring open house was last weekend
all three campuses held tours, special events and activities to show
prospective students, their parents
and members of the community what the college was on the about
We spoke to some participants about their experience
ROB: I'm so excited to come here every day the atmosphere is so nice here
I love the campus. I'm excited just get going and start learning.
KEZIA: Earlier in this week students and public relations program held their
annual Alcohol Awareness fair at the K cottage
in lakeshore campus. Designed to promote responsible drinking
the 90's themed event included activities
lots of food and drink and even a visit from member of parliament Bernard Trottier.
and Tuesday, final years in the Graphic Design program
showed off the best of their best at their annual
portfolio show initial held at the spoke club in downtown Toronto.
this was a chance for students to show their work to friends, friends family and most
importantly
industry insiders.
Finally to North Campus kicked of South Asian Heritage Month
with a display of drumming spoken word and a short lecture. Humber has students from
more then 100 countries across the world
and approximately 70% of those international student's are from South Asia.
