Digital Measures is a tool for keeping track of the teaching, research, and service activities
you accomplish. If your department or unit is using the School of Education template
the information you enter into your Digital Measures profile is displayed on your online
web bio page. Check with your department or unit administrator to learn if this template
is used for your profile. Your Digital Measures information can also be used to generate reports.
This is an example web bio page for an example person named, Bucky Badger. The information
displayed in this interface is loaded from Bucky's Digital Measures profile. This is
an example of a fairly robust profile. You can see that the web bio page has many tabs
listing information about the person's various activities.
However, when your Digital Measures profile is initially created, your web bio page will
only contain a minimal amount of information in the "Bio" and "Email" tabs: your name,
the department with which you are affiliated, and your email address.
Some of the information on your web bio page is generated automatically. For example, the
default image is the UW Crest. The SoE-Web team at MERIT can upload a photo for you in
place of the UW Crest. The form under the Email tab is also generated automatically
and allows users to send you an email in case they lack an email client on their device.
You can edit the information displayed on your web bio page by editing your Digital
Measures profile. MERIT has created a tutorial series that contains instructions for editing
each section of your Digital Measures profile.
