Flamingo is a Flashy Throw - a side arm that goes behind your throwing leg
Here it is dressed up with some Athletic Humor
It starts with catch low... peace sign - this is a side arm throw
You can see that this is a little difficult...to get your right hand behind your right leg...
I have pretty good balance and I'm falling around a little bit
Something that we can do is to just drop the criteria a little bit and get a feel for where that is
It actually is quite a bit easier once your moving... standing there is the hard part.
Use this lower criteria to help you understand the throw before you move on...
A huge key to this throw is to get your heel facing the target...
You're going to step towards your throwing hand and turn your pinky toe out
Turning your heel towards the target... that's going to give you the clearance to really let that throw pop
You can see here that every time I step, I'm putting my heel towards the target
The throw is essentially being made behind you
Here's the finished product all dressed up with some Athletic Humor... there we go.
