>>>Angella Hamilton: Hi, if you have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, I have
got three tips for you on how movement heals.
1. The first thing and foremost is remember, know your contraindications for osteoporosis,
osteopenia, heart disease, the secondary conditions of having breast cancer. Get moving, stay
moving, you feel better, you get things, the muscle stretched and even after your surgery
get the scar tissue moving throughout your whole body. If you have lymph nodes removed,
know that the stretches and the things that you need to do for shoulder impingement and
for opening up through your chest. 2. The second thing is know that it is not
a sprint; it is a marathon so it is not something that you are going to stop. Just after you
have finished the treatments and surgeries, you are not just going to go back to your
old life because this is a new beginning, this is a new chapter. You move on through
it. You keep doing what you have been doing to stay healthy and stay focused and just
keep moving one step forward in front of the other.
3. The third thing is to take time for yourself. If you do not take time for yourself and make
sure that you are staying healthy, then you can not take care of your kids, and you can
not take care of your husbands or be a good sister, a good mother, a good person in our
community. So, it is important for us to take time for ourselves even if we feel like we
are being stressed and rushed. Do these three things and stay focused and stay happy and
healthy.
