Can someone using knowledge of physics graduate and open source tools to predict the future?
Can mathematics and computer science to illuminate the magical ability of man
to calculate the final position of an object with data baseline and forces it receives from the environment?
The second law of Newton and three open source software answer yes.
According to Newton's second law if we know the history of a cell, ie the initial position and velocity,
we can predict the future, ie the final position and velocity at time Δt.
In the software “Tracker” the time unit defined in the “clip settings”
and the unit space in
displays the coordinate axis and adapted to move the object
Finally press “Δημιουργία, Υλικού σημείου”
and press sift marked the positions of the object in space and time.
From the data in the right column you will need the original position xo for to = 0
the final time and the initial velocity uo calculated from
the first position x1 and first time t1
The data collected by the software Tracker we use them on software Vidle
On the code replace ball.pos with the initial position
ball.vel with the initial velocity
Δt with delta t
Now calculate the velocity with the form u = (xf - xi)/Δt
on the loop while t smaller the final time from Tracker
Afterwords Run and Run Module
The new data aside from the fact that appear on the screen
is recorded on the file pythonTest.csv
Right click in the file pythonTest.csv open with OpenOffice.org Calc
and click “Διαχωριζόμενα με κόμμα”, click “προεπιλογή” and choose “Αγγλικά”
Import data from Tracker
Select data and right click on diagram,
on the wizard select “ΧΥ Διασπορά”, “Σημεία και γραμμές”
next, next End
The difference between the two graphs is explained as follows:
In the model have fnet zero and therefore a constant speed,
while actually the speed does not remain constant because fnet not zero.
fnet is the resultant of several forces including the force of gravity,
buoyancy and the friction with the walls of the container.
