Hi guys, welcome to this channel. Today I'm going to explain to you
how to install Minecraft mods for Minecraft 1.7.5 or a later version that is stated
in the title of this video. The first thing you'll have to do is clicking the start logo. Then
type in %appdata% and you'll end up in a folder called Roaming. Double click the
.minecraft folder, the folder that contains all your Minecraft files. First make a back-up
in case you make a mistake, although I don't think that will happen. Then double click the
versions folder, in which all installed versions of Minecraft are listed. In my case only the
1.7.5 version is installed. Now open the 1.7.5 folder or another version for which you want
to install a Minecraft mod. Then you'll have to copy all files in this folder by using ctrl + c
Go back into the versions folder and create a new folder and name it whatever you want.
You could e.g. call it "mods". Open this folder and paste the two files you just copied.
Rename the files to the name of the folder. So in case your folder is called mods you'll name
them mods.json and mods.jar. Open mods.json with e.g. notepad, Word or a nifty
program called Notepad++, a link can be found in the description. In this file you'll have
to change the version that can be seen here to the name of the folder, e.g. mods, like I called it. Then save it and close the file.
Everything is ready to start installing a mod. As an example we'll be installing the
Too Many Items mod, once again, a link can be found in the description. Go to the download
section and choose the non-Forge version for Minecraft 1.7.5. Skip the adf.ly
and as you can see it has now been downloaded. It is recommended to move this file to the desktop.
Then click open with: WinRar, a download link to this program can be found in the description. Now you can see a big list of files.
You'll have to open mods.jar with WinRar as well, so, open with: WinRar. WinRar is free
by the way. The next thing you'll have to do is deleting the Meta-inf from the mods.jar file
and copying all of the files from the Too Many Items jar file to the mods.jar file. You can easily do this by
using ctrl a, ctrl c in the Too Many Items file and then click on the mods.jar file and press ctrl v.
Now your mods.jar is officially modded. The only thing you still have to do is making a profile in the Minecraft Launcher. First close
all the files and folders. Open your Minecraft Launcher then select "New Profile" and name it
something like mods. Then click on the use version drop down list and select "release mods" or something else depending on how
you named it. Your profile is now ready but you still have to save it by clicking "Safe Profile".
Then you'll have to select the modded version at the profile selecter, for example mods if that's the way you named it.
To test if this all worked we'll press play. In Minecraft we'll select Single Player, Create New World, Creative.
We are now in our new creative world. To test if Too Many Items has been installed,
press e to open the inventory and then press o to get the Too Many Items list at both sides. It has been successfully installed and
everything works great. Thanks for watching this tutorial, I hope you are now able to install
whatever mod you want. If that's the case, a like is much appreciated. Add this video to you favorites, so you can easily refer
