In 1984 I was born.
Yep there I am, Baby Bonnie
In 2008 I started doing stand-up comedy
Slow starter I know....
In 2009 my dad started doing impersonations of my comedy
In 2010 I started doing impersonations of my dad...
doing impersonations of my comedy
In 2011 my mum put a stop to ALL the impersonations...
and I wrote my first solo comedy show 'Laugh Or Your Money Back'
I took it to Melbourne.
"Though relatively young her experience is evident as she is able to keep an audience laughing non-stop for an hour" Chortle.com
Then all the way back to Perth
Where it got nominated for 'Best of the Fest'. Woohoo!
"Emerging local comedian Bonnie Davies ended the night and was the most impressive of the three." The West Australian
Now I need your help to take it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
In Edinburgh I'll perform over 20 x 45 minute performances in a month...
And get more stage time than I'd get in a whole year in Perth.
There'll be over 2,500 shows taken to Edinburgh
With an estimated 41,869 performances happening in the city
And I will be the only home-grown Perth girl doing a show there.
On 21st August I will be 27 years old, will have possibly raised enough money to cover my flights to Scotland, and at least 32* people might have heard of me.
* totally achievable figure!
If I was a rockstar I would probably be dead by 27
So mum is pretty glad I'm not a rockstar
Even if I became a comedian...
Laughing is good for you but it doesn't help you power planes.
Please help me get to Scotland!
